1. Take 1 gram of iodine in 100ml beaker and cover it with a watch glass..
2. Mix hot starch solution hot agar solution..
3. Allow some time to solidify the mixture..
4. Invert the watch glass over the beaker and see what happens...
5. The colour of the mixture changes to blue because iodine is trapped...
6. On heating blue colour partially disappears and white rings are observed because the trapped iodine is destroyed which was initially trapped in starch due to change in structure of starch....
